Shree Hardware Stores

Shree Hardware Stores is located inside Godown No. 5. It is a large, high-ceilinged space that stays a bit cooler than the outside air because of the thick walls. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of oil, metal, and cardboard. We have shelves that go all the way up, packed with every kind of tool, hinge, and bolt you could think of. It’s not a fancy retail shop with glass displays; it’s a working warehouse where things are kept in bulk. We spend a lot of our day climbing ladders to reach the top rows or moving heavy crates around with a trolley. It’s often a bit dusty, and the lighting isn't the brightest, but we know exactly where every single item is located. People come in looking for specific sizes of screws or heavy-duty tools, and we spend time digging through the stock to find them. The floor is old, gray concrete with plenty of cracks and marks from years of moving heavy stuff around. We have a small wooden desk near the big sliding door where we keep the bill books and a calculator. It can get pretty quiet in here between customers, which gives us time to count the inventory and restock the shelves. It’s a basic, functional place, and we take pride in just having what people need when they come asking.
