Riviera Fashions

Riviera Fashions is located at 59-B on the first floor of the Bombay Mutual Building. We are right on Sir P. M. Road, which is a busy place to be. The building is one of those older ones with high ceilings and heavy doors that have been there for decades. We deal with clothes and fashion supplies, so our space is usually full of fabric rolls and boxes. It’s not a fancy showroom with mannequins and bright lights. It’s more of a workspace where we sort out orders and talk to our tailors and suppliers. Some days the floor is so covered in scraps and boxes that you can hardly walk through, but we know where everything is. We don't use any complicated systems here; we just write things down and make sure the deliveries go out when they are supposed to. The staff has been around for a long time, so we’re more like a small family than a corporate office. We have our tea together in the afternoons and talk about the news. The noise from the traffic on Sir P. M. Road is always there in the background, but after a few years, you don't even hear it anymore. We just keep things simple and try to do an honest day's work. It’s a bit dusty and cramped sometimes, but it’s our place and we’ve made it work for us for a long time. We just keep our heads down and get the stitching and packing done.
