Pay Chem

We are situated in the Panoli G.I.D.C. area, which is pretty much an industrial zone through and through. Pay Chem operates out of a functional unit where the focus is entirely on the chemicals we handle. When you walk in, you’ll notice the smell of the industry and the rows of blue and white drums lined up along the walls. It’s a strictly work-oriented environment, so we all wear our safety gear and follow the basic rules of the plant. There is a lot of steam and the sound of machinery running in the background most of the time. Our office is a small room partitioned off from the main floor, and it’s usually where we do the billing and check the safety data sheets. The ground in the G.I.D.C. is often a bit rough, and the trucks coming in for pickups create a lot of noise and movement. We don’t really have visitors who aren't here for business, so we don't worry much about the decor. It’s just plain walls and functional furniture. We spend our days making sure the mixtures are right and the orders are filled correctly for the next transport. It’s a hot and sometimes tiring job, especially during the summer months in Panoli, but we have a good rhythm going and we get through the workload day by day. We just focus on the production and getting the containers ready on time.
