We've been at Plot No. 317 in Panoli for a while now. Most days start early before the sun gets too high over Ankleshwar. It’s an industrial area, so there is always noise from the neighboring units and trucks moving about on the main road. Our space isn't fancy, just a practical setup for the work we do. Most of us here have worked together for years. We know the machines and the rhythms of the day. Sometimes the power fluctuates or a delivery gets delayed, but that is just part of the routine in GIDC. The office is a bit small and usually has a stack of files that never seems to get shorter. I guess that's just how it is when you're busy. We eat lunch together in the small break area. It gets quite hot in the afternoons during summer, so we keep the fans going at full speed. People come by asking for things, and we just handle what comes through the gate. There is no big corporate ladder here, just people doing their jobs and making sure everything is loaded onto the trucks by evening. It’s dusty and loud sometimes, but it’s our workplace. We don’t spend much time on fancy brochures or websites. Mostly we are just focused on the orders on the desk and making sure the floor stays organized enough to move around. It's a steady life at Plot 317, and we just keep at it.
