Our factory is at Plot 905 in the G I D C Industrial Estate. We specialize in making saws and various industrial cutting tools. It is a place where there is always a lot of noise. Between the grinding wheels and the metal being shaped, you have to speak quite loudly to be heard. We have been at this location for a long time. The building shows its age, with some rusted spots on the corrugated roof and floors that are stained with oil. We aren't a big, fancy company. It’s just a group of us who have learned how to make a good blade over the years. We don't use any high-tech marketing. We just make the tools and send them out to the people who need them. Most of our machines are manual, which means you have to really pay attention to what you are doing. It is a bit of a rough environment, but we are used to the sparks and the heat. We eat our lunch together at a small table in the back. There isn't any corporate hierarchy here. Everyone just does what needs to be done. Sometimes we have a backlog of orders and things get a bit stressful, but we just keep working through the pile. It is a decent living and we take some pride in knowing our saws are out there working.
