If you find yourself in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, you’ll likely end up near the industrial zones, but Joshi Universal Co. is actually situated in Shri Ram Society at B-40. It’s a bit of a mix between a residential feel and a place of business. The society is usually quiet in the mornings before everyone gets moving. We’ve got a small space there where we keep our records and handle the day-to-day operations. Ankleshwar gets incredibly hot, so we usually have the windows shut tight and the old AC unit running most of the afternoon. It’s got a bit of a rattle to it, but we don’t mind. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a sleek office design or anything. The shelves are packed with folders and some samples we’ve collected over the years. Usually, there’s a stack of newspapers on the side table that nobody has gotten around to throwing away yet. We’ve got a few chairs for visitors, though most people just call us instead of stopping by. Being in Gujarat, the business culture is everywhere, even in a society like Shri Ram. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with whatever the current project is. It’s a steady pace, and we like it that way. No one is in a huge rush, but the work always gets finished eventually. It's just how we do things at our little spot in Gujarat.
