J. D. Corporation

J. D. Corporation is over at Plot No. 5222 in the Gidc area. It’s a basic industrial unit, nothing too fancy to speak of. We have a large sliding door that stays open most of the day to let the breeze in. The space is filled with racks of materials and a few heavy-duty machines that stay running for hours at a time. It’s a loud place, but you get used to the rhythm of it after a few days. We don't have a fancy board of directors or corporate meetings. It’s just a few of us making decisions on the fly and making sure the orders go out correctly. The office is just a corner partitioned off with some plywood. There’s an old filing cabinet that jams sometimes and a desk covered in notes. We don't worry about things looking perfect as long as the work is getting done right. The Gidc estate is always buzzing with activity, and our plot is right in the middle of it all. We see the same faces every day, the delivery drivers and the neighbors from the next plot over. Sometimes we sit outside on some crates during the evening to catch our breath before heading home. It’s just a regular business in a regular industrial estate. We focus on the daily grind and keeping our equipment in good shape at Plot No. 5222.
