Mann Enterprise

Our unit is DB-23 in the Sardar Patel Complex. It’s right near the SBI Industrial Estate branch in GIDC, which makes things convenient when we have to deal with the bank. The complex is always buzzing with activity because of all the different businesses packed in here. We’ve been here for a few years, and the walls are starting to show their age with some scratches and faded paint. We deal with various industrial supplies, so there’s usually boxes stacked up to the ceiling. Finding anything specific sometimes takes a minute because we’re constantly moving things around to make room for new stock. The office part is just a tiny cabin with a desk and a couple of plastic chairs for visitors. It’s usually quite hot in there, so we keep the fan on full blast all day. We start early before the sun gets too high and stay until the last delivery is sorted. There’s no fancy management structure here. We all do a bit of everything, whether it’s loading the tempo or answering the landline. The GIDC area has a very specific feel to it, very practical and no-nonsense, and we fit right in. We don’t have time for anything that isn't related to getting the orders out. It’s a simple business run by people who aren't afraid to get their hands a bit dusty while working in the warehouse. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes it just looks like a mess.
