Exzakta Meccanica

Our workshop is at Plot No. 1706-2. It’s a modest space, but it fits everything we need to get the day started. We focus on mechanical parts, mostly things that need to be exactly right or they won’t fit into the bigger machines they belong to. It takes a bit of patience and a steady hand. Some of us have been doing this for twenty years, so our hands just know what to do now. We don't have a big fancy sign out front, just the plot number painted on the gate mostly. The light inside isn't always the best, but we have lamps over the benches where it counts. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or adjusting the lathes. It’s quiet work in some ways, but the sound of metal cutting is always in the background. We aren't looking to grow into some massive corporation with offices in every city. We like the size we are because we can see every piece that goes out the door. Sometimes we make mistakes, and when we do, we just start over and fix it. There’s no point in hiding it. We just want to do a decent job so we can come back and do it again tomorrow. It’s a simple life for us.
