Umiya Sales Agency

Umiya Sales Agency is based at the Sardar Patel Complex in shop A/6. It is a pretty standard commercial complex and we have been here for a while now. We run a sales agency, which basically means we are the middle people between the manufacturers and the local shops. Our space is usually filled with boxes and crates of various products. It is not a place for browsing; it is a place for moving stock. We spend a lot of time checking inventory and writing out bills. Some days we are out on our scooters visiting different shopkeepers in the area to see what they need. It is a lot of physical work and the dust in the complex can get a bit much during the dry season. We don't have any fancy marketing materials or a polished brand image. We are just a few guys trying to make a living by selling goods. Sometimes a shipment arrives damaged and we have to argue with the transport company, which is never fun but is just part of the job. We know most of the other people in the Sardar Patel Complex and we usually share a tea in the afternoon. We stay open until late because that is when the market is most active. It is straightforward work without any unnecessary complications.
