Saffron Exim operates out of Plot No. C1b 7112. It’s a decent-sized space for what we do. We handle various goods and materials, mostly stuff coming in and going out for trade. The name sounds a bit more grand than the actual place is. If you walk in, you’ll see a lot of boxes and pallets stacked up. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking emails about shipments. It gets pretty dusty out here, so we’re always cleaning the windows. We have a small loading dock that sees a lot of action. The guys who drive the trucks are usually in a hurry, so it’s always a bit chaotic. We’ve been at 7112 for a few years now. It’s a practical location for getting things onto the main roads. The air conditioning in the office is a bit noisy, but it’s a lifesaver in the summer. We don’t have a website that’s updated often, we mostly just deal with people we’ve known for a long time. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear casual clothes and drink a lot of chai. Sometimes we stay late when a container is delayed. It’s just the way the import-export business goes. We try to keep things simple and avoid any unnecessary drama. There's always something to count or a form to fill out. That’s just the daily routine for us at the plot.
