Pragati Packaging Ind.

Pragati Packaging Ind. operates out of Plot No. 4610. It’s basically a big shed filled with rolls of paper, cardboard, and various machines for cutting and folding things. We spend our days making boxes and wrapping materials for other businesses around here. It’s one of those jobs where you’re always surrounded by the smell of glue and paper dust. The space can get a bit cramped when a big shipment of raw materials arrives, and we’re all trying to move things around to find some room to work. We aren't trying to change the world; we just make sure that when someone needs to ship their goods, they have a sturdy box to put them in. The machines can be temperamental sometimes, which means someone usually has to stop what they’re doing to fix a jam or adjust a setting. It's not a high-tech environment. We use our hands a lot, checking the edges and making sure the tape sticks properly. Plot 4610 is just another spot in a long line of industrial units. Most of the people working here live nearby. We take our tea breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in the neighborhood. It's a steady rhythm of cutting, folding, and stacking. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It’s just packaging. If you need a thousand boxes or just a few custom sizes, we try to sort it out. That's pretty much the whole story of our day-to-day life here. We just keep our heads down and work.
