If you head over to Plot No. A1-171, that’s where we keep Parekh Cables Conductors running. It’s a straightforward shop. We deal with wires and conductors all day long. There’s always piles of copper or aluminum sitting around waiting to be processed. The machines we use are loud, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the hum. It’s not the quietest job, but we like it that way. We’ve got a small team here. Nobody wears a suit to work. We’re usually in overalls or old shirts that we don't mind getting grease on. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks, but it holds up the heavy spools just fine. We don’t do a lot of talking about what we do; we just get the orders filled and move on to the next one. Being at A1-171 means we are close to other shops, so we help each other out if a tool breaks or someone needs a hand. We don't have a big website or anything fancy. People usually just call us up or stop by the plot. We’ve been doing this for years, and we’ve learned a lot of tricks to make the cables come out right. It’s steady work. We open up early and close when the day’s work is done. It's a simple life at the workshop, and that suits us perfectly. Every morning we start with a quick check of the machines.
