About Jay Ambe Fibre Glass – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Ankleshwar
Jay Ambe Fibre Glass is easy to find if you know where Dhirajken Chokdi is. We’re right near there at Plot No. 7521-1. Working with fiberglass is a specific kind of job. It’s messy and it can make you itch if you aren't careful. We use a lot of resin and glass mats. The shop floor is always covered in little white fibers. We have to wear gear to keep it off us. The chokdi nearby is always loud with traffic and horns honking. We’ve grown used to the noise over the years. Our plot isn't huge. We have to be smart about how we store the molds. Some of them are quite big and take up a lot of room. We don't have a fancy lobby or chairs for visitors. If you come to see us, you’ll probably end up standing in the middle of the workshop. We just tell it like it is. No fancy words or sales pitches. We show people what we’re making and they can see it for themselves. The weather affects the resin, so some days we have to work faster than others. It’s a small team here. We’ve all been doing this for a while. We know the quirks of the material. It’s a bit of a rough-and-ready place. But we’ve been at Plot No. 7521-1 for a long time and we like the neighborhood.
