Glass Tef Engineering

Our workshop at Glass Tef Engineering is pretty close to Khwaza Chowkdi, so it’s a landmark everyone knows around here. We’re at Plot No. A1-5241. It’s a busy area with a lot of traffic passing by all the time. Inside, we do a lot of engineering work that requires us to be pretty careful with what we’re handling. It’s not like a big factory where everything is automated. We do a lot of it by hand or with older machines that we’ve maintained for years. The air smells like metal and cutting oil most of the time. We don't have a big fancy sign out front, just the one painted on the wall. Most of our days are spent checking measurements and making sure the fittings are right. It’s a bit cramped in here sometimes because of all the equipment we have to fit in, but we make it work. The office is just a desk with a lot of old ledgers and a computer that’s seen better days. We don't spend much money on making the place look pretty because that’s not what we’re here for. We just focus on the engineering side of things. When someone comes in with a problem, we look at the parts and figure out how to fix it. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until night. That is the way it goes.
