Bharat Ice Industries

If you head over to Plot No. 4912, that’s where you’ll find Bharat Ice Industries. It’s a cold place to be, which is a nice change from the heat outside. We make a lot of ice here. You can hear the water running and the machines humming all day and night. It’s a wet environment, so we all wear boots to keep our feet dry. The blocks of ice are heavy, and moving them takes a bit of muscle. We have trucks coming by early in the morning to pick up loads for the markets and shops. Sometimes they’re waiting at the gate before we even open. It’s a fast-paced business because the ice doesn’t wait for anyone. We’ve been at Plot 4912 for a long time. The building is older, but it does the job just fine. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. People know where we are because they need what we make. The crew is used to the cold. We take breaks outside just to warm up a bit. It’s funny how that works. We don't use a lot of complicated words to describe what we do. We make ice and we sell it. It’s as simple as that. There’s always something to clean or a pipe to check. We just stay busy and keep the freezer units running. It's hard work, but someone has to keep things cool around here.
