Things are a bit split for us between the home and the factory. Our residence is over at H-5-6 in the Suflam Co-op Housing Society on Valiya Road. It is a nice enough spot in the GIDC New Colony. But most of the real work happens over at the factory, which is Shed No. C1/B 6830. We are located right near Mukta Chowkdi. Moving back and forth between the house and the shed is just part of our daily routine. The GIDC area is always humming with the sound of industry. There are plenty of other sheds around us, and everyone is busy with their own thing. Our shed is pretty basic. It has high ceilings and a lot of floor space for our machines and materials. It gets quite warm in the middle of the day, especially with the metal roof. We usually have the main doors open to let some air in. We don't have a lot of help, so we handle most of the tasks ourselves. From cleaning up the floor to managing the machinery, it is all part of the job. We don’t have a fancy office or a place to entertain guests. Usually, we just meet people right there on the shop floor or near the entrance. It is a hard-working atmosphere, and we like the feeling of finishing a long day of physical work. We keep our lives simple and our work even simpler while dealing with the traffic at Mukta Chowkdi.
