M. Ajay Fabricators

M. Ajay Fabricators is located at C1/224/224P in the GIDC Estate. This is where we do all our metal work and fabrication. It’s a big open shed mostly, filled with welding equipment, grinders, and stacks of raw material. You can usually hear the sound of sparks flying or metal being cut from the street. It’s heavy work and it’s often hot inside, especially during the summer months. We don't have any formal uniforms or anything; we just wear what’s comfortable and safe for the job. Our hands are usually covered in grease or soot by the end of the shift. The plot at 224P has been our base for quite a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change as more shops moved in. We handle all sorts of fabrication requests that come our way. Sometimes it’s a small repair and other times it’s a bigger project that takes a few weeks to finish. We don't use any fancy software to manage things; we mostly just write stuff down on a chalkboard or in a ledger. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we take some pride in the things we build with our own hands. There isn't much to say about us other than we work hard and we try to do a decent job for anyone who walks through the door. We just keep at it and make sure the welding holds.
