Aai Vermi Compost Plt

Out here in A/p-ankalkhop, things move a little slower than in the big cities. We run the Aai Vermi Compost Plt and it is exactly what it sounds like. We spend our days working with soil and worms to make the compost. It is a bit of a messy business, to be honest. Your hands stay dirty and there is always that earthy smell in the air, but you get used to it after the first week. We started this because there was a need for good compost in the local fields around Ankalkhop. It isn't a high-tech operation with fancy computers. We mostly rely on our hands and the bins where the worms do their thing. It takes time, you can't really rush nature when it comes to breaking things down into good dirt. Sometimes the weather makes it tricky, like when it rains too much and we have to cover everything up fast. Neighbors often drop by to see how the batches are coming along. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who don't mind getting a bit of mud on our boots. It is quiet work for the most part. We just keep an eye on the piles and make sure the moisture is right. It is just a simple place doing simple work with the earth every day.
