Shree L D Rabari Higher Secondary School

Our school sits right out on the 39, Bhuj Highway Road in Anjar. Being in Kutch means we deal with a lot of dust and wind, especially during certain times of the year. Shree L D Rabari Higher Secondary School is a place where the older kids come to finish their studies. You can see the trucks rolling by on the highway from the upper windows. It is a very practical kind of place. We have big classrooms and a yard that is mostly dirt and some patches of grass. The students come from all over the local area, some walking and some on bicycles. We do not have any high-tech gadgets or expensive setups. We just have the basics that you need for a high school. The teachers are mostly local people who understand the life here. During the exam season, the whole place gets very quiet and a bit tense. But the rest of the year, it is just the usual noise of teenagers talking and bells ringing. We have a small office where we keep all the records in paper files. It is not a corporate environment at all. It feels more like a big, busy house sometimes. We keep the gates locked during the day for safety, but otherwise, it is a very open and straightforward place. We just try to keep things running smoothly so the kids can get their certificates and move on to whatever is next for them.
