Our location is out in Bhimasar, which is part of the Anjar Taluka in the Kutch district. We are spread across Survey numbers 590, 591, and 593. It’s a big open area, very industrial and rural at the same time. There aren't many trees around, just a lot of flat land and the occasional truck driving past on the main road. The office we have out here is very basic. It’s more of a functional space for managing the trade and keeping track of what’s coming in and going out. The walls are thick to keep the heat out, but it still gets pretty warm during the middle of the day. We have a few heavy desks and some metal cupboards for all the files. It’s a very quiet place most of the time, except for the sound of the wind or some machinery in the distance. We don't have any fancy signs or a reception area. You just walk in through the main door and you’re right there with us. Most of the guys working here are from the nearby villages, so there’s a lot of local talk during the breaks. We drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we can. It’s a tough environment sometimes because of the sun and the dust, but it’s where we do our business every day. It’s simple and honest work. We have been in Bhimasar for years.
