Our place is located at Plot No-479 near Anjar Savasar Naka in the Kachchh region. If you know the area, you know it can get quite dusty and the wind blows pretty hard across the plains. We’ve been operating out of this yard for a long time, and we’ve seen a lot of changes in the local landscape. We are basically a contracting outfit, so our yard is usually full of bricks, sand, and various bits of timber depending on what we’re building that week. It’s a family-run kind of feel here, even if we aren't all related. We just show up, see what needs to be done, and get to it. Kachchh has its own way of doing things, and we’ve adapted to the climate and the local materials over the years. Our office is just a small room where we keep the ledgers and the site plans. It’s not much to look at, but it’s where the real planning happens. We spend most of our time out on the sites anyway, so the office is mostly empty during the day. We don't bother with big ads; people usually find us through word of mouth or by seeing our trucks parked at a building site near the Naka. It’s hard, physical labor and the sun can be brutal, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a wall go up straight. We just keep working until the sun goes down.
