Indian Red Cross Society

Our office is situated in Mehsana, right at B/23 in the Tirupati Township along the Nagalpur Highway Road. Being near the highway means it’s easy for people to find us, though the trucks going by can be a bit loud. This is where the local branch of the Red Cross Society operates from. It’s a basic building in a growing part of Gujarat. We handle a lot of local health initiatives and blood donation records here. The rooms are filled with metal cupboards and wooden desks that have seen better days. We aren't here to look pretty; we’re here to get things done for the people in the district. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we end up writing everything down by hand. It’s a busy place when there’s an event going on, with lots of people coming and going. The staff here are mostly folks from Mehsana who care about the local town. We don’t use fancy titles or wear suits. Usually, it's just plain clothes and a lot of paperwork. We keep water for anyone who walks in because the Gujarat heat is no joke. It’s just a regular office doing regular work for the society. We try to keep our files in order and stay ready for whatever request comes in next from the neighborhood.
