Anjar Retail Merchants Association

The Anjar Retail Merchants Association is located at Custom Chowk in Anjar. We use the space at Hirji Tejpar Sons. It’s a central spot in town, so it’s easy for most of the local shopkeepers to stop by. Anjar is an old place, and Custom Chowk is usually pretty busy with people and bikes. Our association isn't a big corporation or anything. We are just a group of local people trying to keep things organized for the merchants here in Kachchh. We meet in a small room that’s often filled with papers and old ledgers. It’s not very modern, but it suits us just fine. Sometimes we sit around and talk about the local market and what’s happening with the trade. We’ve known each other for years, so it feels more like a community gathering than a formal office. We don't have a website or anything like that. If someone needs to find us, they just come to the chowk and ask for Hirji Tejpar Sons. Most of the work is done by a few of us who have been around for a long time. We try to help out when there are issues with the local shops. It’s mostly just sitting down and talking things through. We don't have any big goals, just helping the merchants stay connected in this part of town. The ceiling fan is a bit noisy, but we don't really notice it anymore. It's just part of our daily routine here in the market.
