You can find Shri Varad Hospital on the Sarafa Line Main Road in Surji Anjangaon. Being on the main road means we see everything that happens in the town. The market is close by, so there’s always the sound of people bargaining and vehicles moving. Our hospital is a simple structure. We have a few wards and a consultation room. It’s not very big. We don't have a corporate board or a team of managers. It’s just us and the local patients. We get people from the surrounding villages too. They usually come in early in the morning on the local buses. The waiting area is just a few rows of wooden benches. We don't have air conditioning in every room, just some fans that hum along. It’s a very practical place. We deal with common illnesses and some emergencies. My staff and I live nearby, so we are always around if someone needs us. We’ve seen the town change over the years, but Sarafa Line stays busy as ever. We don't have any flashy advertisements. Our name is just painted on a board outside. It’s an honest way to make a living. We know most of our patients by their first names. It’s just a small-town hospital doing what it can for anyone who walks in. Nothing fancy about it at all, just our daily routine on the Main Road. We stay open late if we have to. That is just life here.
