Mahan Village is where we are, right in the Akola District on National Highway 6. We do agricultural stuff here. It started because the farmers around Barshitakli Taluka needed things and it was easier to have it right here at the Post Office area. It gets quite hot out here on the highway but we stay open for the locals. Mostly, we deal with whatever the season needs. People stop by when they’re moving goods across the state. It’s not a big fancy place. Just a regular building with stuff piled up where we can find it. Sometimes the dust from the highway gets into everything but that’s just how it is. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. If someone needs something for their land, they just pull over. We spend our days checking stock and talking to the guys who drive the tractors. It’s quiet in the afternoons when the sun is high. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. It is just a regular workplace where we try to keep things organized enough so people can get what they need and go back to their fields. There isn't much to say other than we are here every morning and we stay until the work is done. You can see the sign from the road if you are looking. It is a simple life and we like it that way.
