Utkal Alumina International Limited( Aditya Birla Group)

We are part of the Utkal Alumina International Limited( Aditya Birla Group) team, but our daily lives happen over at Nalco Nagar in Angul. Our address at B/ 146 is where we handle our side of the operations. Being in Angul is a bit different from being at the main plant, but it’s a busy hub for the alumina and aluminum industry in Orissa. The 759145 area is full of people who do exactly what we do, so there is a lot of shared knowledge around the neighborhood. Our office isn’t anything out of the ordinary. We have the usual setup of desks and files, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time on the phone and coordinating with the folks back at the refinery. It’s a lot of logistical heavy lifting. The community in Nalco Nagar is tight-knit since many of us work for the same big names in the industry. We see each other at the local market or at the tea stalls in the evening. There isn’t a lot of formality here. We just get our tasks done and try to keep things running smoothly for the group. It’s a steady pace of work, and while it isn’t always exciting, it feels important to the overall process. We’re just regular people doing our part.
