About Trainee Engineer Maintainance,Instrumentation – Metals & Minerals in Angul
This is Bhabani Shankar Mishra's place. We are tucked away in Sikhyak Para, right near the Jagannath Temple in Angul. Maintenance and instrumentation is what we do here day in and day out. It’s a bit of a messy shop, but that’s because we are always in the middle of a project. Haramohan Mishra’s house is where you’ll find us. We deal with gauges and sensors mostly. It takes a lot of patience to get the calibration right. Sometimes the rain in Orissa makes things difficult, but we manage. The temple bells are nice to hear while we work. It’s a local operation. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where to find us in Angul. If a machine breaks down, they bring it over. We take a look, see what’s wrong, and try to fix it. It’s not always easy. Some parts are hard to find. We drink a lot of tea while we figure things out. My hands are usually covered in grease or dust. That's part of the job. We like the challenge of fixing something that looks hopeless. The neighbors are friendly. We've been at this address for a good bit now. It feels like home. We don't try to be something we aren't. Just working people trying to keep the machines running around here. Come by if you're near the temple. We might be busy, but we always have time for a chat about the work.
