Up here in Nalco Nagar, things are usually pretty quiet, which is nice for getting work done. Our office is located at Qtr. No. B/725, right in the heart of the Angul area. It’s a government-style quarter, so it has that solid, dependable feel to it. There’s a small garden patch out front that we try to keep tidy, though the heat sometimes makes it hard for the plants to stay green. Inside, we’ve got a couple of rooms filled with computers and some basic office furniture. It’s not the kind of place with bright lights or modern art; it’s just a workspace. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and going through files. The fan overhead clicks a bit, but you get used to it after a while. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know the local shortcuts and where to get the best snacks in the afternoon. When the sun starts to set, the light hits the back window in a way that makes it hard to see the screens, so we have to adjust the curtains. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine for us. We handle a lot of paperwork and phone calls, and the atmosphere stays fairly low-key. We don’t really do anything flashy; we just show up, do the tasks on the list, and then head home when the day is over.
