Our place is located right in the middle of the NTPC township in Angul, specifically in Section 3 of the TTPS area. It’s one of those quarters, Qr D 5, that’s been converted into a working space for us. Living and working in a place like this means you basically know everyone around you. The whole township revolves around the power plant. There’s always this background hum of activity. It’s not like a typical city office where you go home and forget about work. Here, your neighbors are often your colleagues too. We handle a lot of the logistical stuff and local operations from this little spot in Orissa. The weather can get really humid, so the fans are always spinning. It’s a simple setup—nothing flashy, just some tables, chairs, and our filing cabinets. We usually start the day early before the sun gets too high. People stop by to drop off documents or just to chat about what’s happening in the plant. It’s a very close-knit community in the TTPS colony. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow. We manage, though. There is a small porch where we sit for a few minutes during breaks. It’s a practical way to run things, being right where the action is. Most of us have been here for years. We like the routine of the township life. It’s a quiet but busy existence out here in Angul. We keep at it.
