National Aluminium Company Limited

Our office is situated at Qtr. No. C-384 in Nalco Nagar, which is in the Angul district of Orissa. National Aluminium Company Limited is the main thing out here. Being in the quarters area means we are right in the middle of where everyone lives. It’s convenient. We don’t have a flashy sign or anything, just a door that stays open most of the day. Inside, it’s mostly just us working on spreadsheets and dealing with the daily mail. It gets pretty warm in Angul, so the ceiling fans are always humming in the background. We’ve all been working together for a long time, so we have a good rhythm going. There’s no need for big meetings or fancy presentations here. We just talk across the desks when something needs to be sorted out. People from the neighborhood often stop by for a chat or to ask about something happening at the plant. It feels very local and grounded. We handle the administrative side of things and try to keep the paperwork from piling up too high. It’s a lot of routine, but it’s important for keeping the bigger operations moving. We like the area and the people. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, and we take pride in doing our part without making a big deal out of it. Most days we just finish up, lock the door, and walk home to the next block.
