You can find us at Sntri Chawk in Banarpal, which is in the Angul district of Orissa. Mistry Construction Co. Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. It’s a dusty area, which makes sense because there is always some kind of work going on nearby. Our office is a place where we keep all the heavy lifting organized. We spend our days coordinating with drivers and workers, making sure the equipment is where it’s supposed to be. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always the sound of trucks or people talking loudly over the noise of the site. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people know where we are if they need something built. Orissa heat can be pretty brutal, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the morning before it gets too bad. Dealing with local regulations and getting materials delivered on time takes up most of my afternoon. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking lists. We aren't fancy people, just a local crew that knows the land around here. Sometimes the plans change at the last minute and we have to scramble to fix things, but that’s just part of the business. We keep our records at the Banarpal office and just keep moving forward with whatever project is on the table, whether it is a small wall or a bigger road. We just try to get things done.
