Jyothi Roshan Hospital

Our place is right there in Angul, very close to the Bank of India ATM, which makes it easy to explain to people coming from outside town. It isn't a massive building with glass walls, just a regular hospital where we handle whatever comes through the door. Some days are very quiet and we just sit and talk in the hallway, but then it gets busy fast when the buses arrive. We have a few wards and the doctors are usually around, even if they’re running a bit late sometimes. People bring their kids, their grandparents, and everyone in between. The floor is that old stone that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We don’t have those fancy coffee machines you see in the city, but there’s always water and a place to sit. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint next year if we get some extra time. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, but we know where everything is. You can hear the sounds from the street all day, which keeps us feeling connected to the town. We don’t do big advertisements or anything like that because everyone knows the location near the bank. It’s just a place to get checked when you aren't feeling right. We see a lot of familiar faces every week. Most people just walk in without much of a plan, and we figure it out as we go along.
