Homeopathy Clinic

This Homeopathy Clinic is over in the Jamshedpur area, near the border of Kendujhar, Orissa. It is a bit of a distance if you are coming from the main city center, but for the people living around here, it is a convenient spot. The clinic itself isn't much to look at from the outside. It is a solid building with a heavy door. Inside, I have rows of shelves filled with those tiny round sugar pills and various liquid dilutions. I spend my days listening to people talk about their aches and pains. Some come from Jamshedpur and some travel across from the Orissa side. It gets dusty outside because of the roads, so I’m always wiping down the glass jars. We don't have a receptionist or anything. I just answer the phone myself when it rings. Usually, it's someone asking if I have a specific remedy in stock. The chairs in the waiting room are a bit old but they do the job. I don’t believe in having a flashy office because that’s not what people come here for. They just want someone to listen and give them something that might help. It’s a quiet way to spend the day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the window for light. I have a small lamp over my desk that I use when the weather gets cloudy outside and the room gets dark. It is just a practical place for local people.
