Divyam Super Market

Divyam Super Market is a small shop located near the Village Post Office in Madhapur. We are just off the Dhenkanal Main Road, which makes it easy for people to stop in when they are traveling through the area. We started this place because people in the village needed a nearby spot to get their daily essentials without going all the way into the bigger towns. We aren't like those big supermarkets you see in the city with shiny floors and bright lights. It is just a simple room with wooden shelves stocked with soaps, pulses, snacks, and whatever else the neighbors ask for. We try our best to keep everything in stock, but sometimes the delivery truck is late. Most of our day is spent behind the counter talking with the people who live nearby. It gets quite busy in the evenings when everyone is coming home from their work in the fields or the offices. We don't have a computer system, so we just write things down and use a simple calculator. Dhenkanal is a nice place to live and work, and we feel like we are part of the community here. We don't do any big promotions or sales tricks. We just keep the prices fair and the shop open when we say we will. It is a family effort and we enjoy it.
