Shriram Chits (P) Ltd

Our office for Shriram Chits is in Rachannapet, over in Zaheerabad. If you know the Medak district, you probably know our area. We are located at H.No.2-5-58. It's a typical office setup with old wooden desks and a lot of registers piled up. We spend our days talking to people about their chit funds and helping them with their payments. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s important for the folks around here. The road outside is always full of dust because of the traffic, so we have to wipe down the tables every couple of hours. We have a small fan that rattles a bit, but it keeps us cool enough. People come in from the nearby villages to drop off their money or to ask questions about when they can get their payout. We know most of them by their faces, even if we sometimes forget their names and have to look them up in the books. It’s a quiet life in Zaheerabad mostly. We don’t have those fancy computer systems that the big city banks use, so we do a lot of things by hand. It takes longer, but we make fewer mistakes that way. We don’t have any big posters or fancy lights. We just sit here and do the paperwork until it’s time to close up and go home. It’s honest work and we’ve been doing it a long time.
