You can find us at Devar’s Court on Venkatraman Street. T. Nagar is always a chaotic part of Chennai, and our little corner at number 15 is no exception. It’s busy from the moment we open the doors. The sounds of the street—horns honking and people shouting—filter in all day long. We’ve got a small office space here that’s packed with files and old desks. It feels a bit like a maze sometimes. We handle a lot of the administrative side of the cement business from this spot. There’s always someone coming in with a delivery note or a question about a shipment. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a blessing in the Chennai humidity. We don’t have much room for extras, so every inch of the office is used for something. The building has that old Chennai character, with narrow stairs and a bit of a worn-out look. We know the tea seller around the corner pretty well, and he knows how we like our tea. It’s a fast-paced environment because everything in T. Nagar is fast. We just try to keep up with the demand and make sure the paperwork doesn't pile up too high on our desks. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but we’ve made it work for a long time now. We just focus on getting through the daily list and making sure the phones get answered before the day ends.
