Orient Cement

You can find us over at Orient Cement Colony at Quarter No. E 01. This is where Raj Kumar Pareek stays and works. It is part of the Devapur Cement Works in the 504 218 area. It is quite a way out in the district but we like the pace here. The colony is where most of the staff lives so it is a tight group of people. We spend a lot of time talking about the day’s work over tea. The house E 01 is just a regular place, nothing too fancy. We handle things for the cement works from here. It gets dusty sometimes because of the nature of the industry but that is just part of the job. We don’t really have a big front office with a receptionist. It is more about the people who actually live here and do the work. The post office in Devapur handles our letters and we just keep things moving. Some days are slower than others. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It is a worker’s life through and through. Raj Kumar and the others have been part of this for a long time. It feels like a small village inside the company grounds. People stop by, talk about what needs doing, and then they go do it. It is simple and it works for us. That is the way things go at E 01. We are not interested in making a big show of things. We just do the work and live our lives.
