Safety Officer In Gannon Dunkerley Co. Ltd.,

My house is number 1-2-8 on Pension Lane in Samalkot. It’s right near the M.S.U.P School, so most people in the East Godavari district can find it pretty easily. I am the son of Basheer Ahammed. Currently, I work as a Safety Officer for Gannon Dunkerley Co. Ltd. It’s a lot of responsibility because a lot can go wrong on a big site if you aren't paying attention. I wake up early, have my tea, and then head out to wherever the project is currently located. Andhra gets very hot, especially during the summer months, which makes safety even harder to manage. Workers get tired and that’s when mistakes happen. I spend my day walking around, talking to the guys, and making sure the equipment is still in good shape for use. I don't use any fancy software for this, just my eyes and a clipboard. It’s a practical job. I’ve lived in Samalkot for a long time and people here know me as a quiet guy who takes his work seriously. I don’t have a big staff under me or anything like that. It’s just me reporting back to the company. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but I’d rather do that than deal with a bad accident on-site. If you’re ever near the school on Pension Lane, you’ll probably see me coming or going. It's a simple life, but it keeps me busy and I like being useful.
