You can find us at E-8 in the MCL Colony over in K.S.R. Nagar. This is in Jaggayyapet, part of the Krishna District in Andhra Pradesh. We’ve been operating Madras Cements Ltd from this location for quite some time now. The colony is a quiet place where most of us live and work. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space with some desks and a lot of files. Jaggayyapet is a busy area for this kind of industry, so we are right in the middle of it all. We spend our days tracking shipments and making sure everything is running okay at the local level. Sometimes the power goes out or the phones act up, but we just deal with it and keep going. It’s a very local feel here. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the guys driving the transport. We don't have any big corporate mission posters on the walls. We just focus on getting the work done so we can go home to our families in the colony. The weather gets very hot in this part of Andhra, so we keep the fans going and try to stay cool while we check the manifests. It’s a basic way of living and working, but it’s honest and it keeps us busy. We are just a small part of the bigger picture here in K.S.R. Nagar. There are no fancy titles here, just people getting their hands dirty with the cement trade.
