S.K Roadon Infrastructure Private Limited is based out of Nepora in the Qazigund area. Our office is care of Bashir Ahmad Shan. Qazigund is often called the gateway to Kashmir, and being in Nepora puts us right in a spot where there is always something happening on the roads. As an infrastructure company, we are mostly concerned with the practical side of building and maintaining things. Our workspace isn't anything you'd see in a magazine. It’s just a place with some desks, a lot of dusty boots, and some maps pinned to the wall. We spend a lot of our time out in the field, dealing with the actual earth and stone. The work is physically demanding and doesn't leave much room for corporate talk. We just focus on the task at hand. Whether it's sorting out a drainage issue or working on a road section, we just get on with it. We know the local climate can be tricky, especially with the snow and rain we get here, so we have to plan around that. We are just a group of local guys who know how to run the machinery and get the projects finished. There’s no mission statement on our wall, just a calendar and some notes about the next delivery of gravel. We like the work because it's real and you can see what you've done at the end of the day. Bashir Ahmad Shan and the rest of us just keep the office running.
