Khanday Provision Store

We are over in Wuyan, in the Pampore area of Pulwama. This is Khanday Provision Store. It’s a quiet enough place most days, but we stay busy with the local people. We keep all the provisions you’d expect, like rice, flour, and oil. The shop is located in a spot that’s easy for people to reach. I’ve been running this for a bit now, and I’ve learned exactly what the neighbors want. Sometimes I have to travel a bit to get the right stock brought in. The air here is nice, and we have a good view of the surroundings. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just shelves and a counter where I sit. I spend time checking the dates on the packets and making sure nothing is sitting for too long. People come in and we talk about the harvest or just how things are going in the family. It’s a very local way of doing things. I don't use any fancy systems, just a pen and some paper to keep track of what’s sold. The floors are stone and they stay cool even when it’s warm outside. There’s a lot of dust from the road, so I’m always wiping things down. It is a steady life, just making sure the community has their food and household items ready. We don't have any flashy lights or big advertisements. We just open the doors and wait for the morning rush to start.
