Venkatadri Clinic

The clinic is right there on the Main Road, at 4-80. Being on the main road means there is never a quiet moment. We see all the buses and trucks going by all day long. The front window gets quite dusty from the traffic, so we have to wash it almost every morning. Inside, it’s a simple setup. We have a row of plastic chairs for waiting and a small table with some old magazines that nobody really reads anymore. We’ve been here for quite a while, and the neighborhood has changed around us, but the clinic stays mostly the same. The floor is tile and it’s a bit cracked near the entrance, but it’s clean. We keep a ledger for appointments and a big water jar for anyone who's thirsty. Our clock on the wall is five minutes fast, but we leave it that way because it helps us stay on schedule. Most of our regulars live within walking distance. They pop in when they’re passing by to ask a question or just to check on something. It’s a small team here, just two or three of us usually. We don't have uniforms or anything corporate. We just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of work. It’s a plain place, but it serves the people who live along this stretch of the road well enough for what they need.
