Surya Home Products

Surya Home Products is located right on Anantapur Road here in Gooty. It gets quite hot in this part of the country, especially in the middle of the day, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning. The shop is at number 2-512, nothing special to look at from the outside, but we have what people need. My father started this a long time ago and I just sort of took over when I finished school. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure things are where they should be. It’s a busy road, so there is always noise from the trucks going past toward Anantapur. Sometimes we have a lot of customers at once and other times it’s just me sitting here listening to the radio. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising or anything like that. People in Gooty know where we are. Dealing with the suppliers can be a headache sometimes because of the delays, but we manage somehow. The floors need a good sweep every couple of hours because of the dust from the main road. It is just a regular local business. We keep things simple and try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It’s enough to keep us busy and we like being part of the neighborhood here on the road.
