Subbaiah Super Market

Running Subbaiah Super Market over here at 2/8/45, Muddanuru Road keeps us pretty busy from morning till night. We have been in this spot for a while now, and the road has definitely gotten noisier over the years. Most of the day is spent checking the inventory and making sure the vegetables are fresh. It’s a lot of work to keep a supermarket going because there are so many small things to track, like the shampoos, the cleaning stuff, and all the different brands of oil. My wife helps out at the counter when I have to go out and meet the wholesalers or fix something in the back. Customers usually start coming in after eight once they’ve dropped their kids at school. Muddanuru Road has a lot of shops, but we try to keep our place organized so people can find what they want quickly without having to ask every two minutes. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to manage with the small generator, which is always a bit of a headache. We carry the heavy bags to people's cars if they need help, though most people just carry their own. It’s a simple business, really. We just want to make sure people in the area have a place to get their things without traveling too far. Every day is different, with new faces and the regulars who stop to chat.
