About Sri Venkateswara Childrens Hospital – Medical & Healthcare in Anantapur
Venkataswamy Street is always busy. There are scooters parked everywhere and the noise from the market nearby never really stops. Sri Venkateswara Childrens Hospital is right in the middle of all that chaos. We have been looking after the local kids for a long time. The walls are painted a light blue, but kids have drawn on them over the years, so there are some marks here and there. It’s a small place, really. We have a couple of exam rooms and a small area where we keep the vaccines in a humming fridge. Parents come in looking worried, holding their little ones who might have a fever or a cough. It gets loud sometimes when someone has to get a shot. I try to keep some candy in my desk drawer to help them stop crying. The floor is that old tile that stays cool even when it is hot outside. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word just gets around the neighborhood. If a child is sick, people tell their neighbors to come see us on Venkataswamy Street. It’s a lot of work and the hours are long, but we’re used to it. The tea stall next door brings us chai twice a day, which helps us keep going through the busy afternoon rushes. It's just a simple hospital for families around here who need someone to look at their kids when they are not feeling well.
