Sri Ramya Slab Polishing Industries is over at 1257, Chukkalur Road in Tadipatri. This area is known for stone and slabs, so we fit right in. We’ve got a big yard where we keep the slabs before they get polished. It’s a noisy job with the machines running, but that’s just how it goes. We’ve been on Chukkalur Road for quite a while now. The sun can be really strong out here, so we try to do the heaviest work in the morning. We aren't some big city corporation. We’re just local people who know how to work with stone. My uncle started this place and I took over later on. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know exactly how to handle the equipment. Tadipatri is a good place for this kind of work. We don't have a fancy lobby or any air conditioning in the shop. It’s just us, the stone, and the polishers. Sometimes the machines break and we have to fix them ourselves. We don't spend money on advertising. People usually just hear about us from someone else in town. That’s how we like it.
