Sri Lakshmi General Stores

Right on Anantapur Road in the town of Rayadurgam, you’ll see our shop at number 76-34. It is a busy road, and we get a lot of people stopping by as they travel through. Sri Lakshmi General Stores has been here for quite some time, and we have gathered a lot of different items on our shelves. We sell just about everything you might need for the house, from soap and toothpaste to notebooks and small household items. The shop is quite packed, so you have to look closely to find what you want sometimes. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that do their best to keep the Rayadurgam heat away. It can get pretty dusty with all the traffic on Anantapur Road, so we are always dusting off the jars and boxes. We know most of our regular customers by name and often stop for a quick chat while they are buying their things. It’s not a polished or modern shop, just a local general store with a bit of character. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is a bit shaky, but we just keep a torch handy and carry on. We open early and stay open until the sun goes down. It is a lot of standing on our feet, but it’s the life we chose. We just try to keep things simple and helpful for the people who come in and shop with us every day.
