Sai Provision Store

Sai Provision Store is located at 63-25, Kodikonda Road in Chilamathur. Our shop is right on the edge of the road, so it catches a lot of dust from the passing vehicles. I spend half my morning just dusting off the jars and packets so they look alright for the customers. We sell all the usual groceries that families around here need for their daily meals. You can find things like sugar, salt, various spices, and those little packets of shampoo that people like. It is a small room, and we have packed it from floor to ceiling with stock. Sometimes it is hard to find things if you don't know where to look, but I know exactly where every single item is kept. Chilamathur is a nice place to live, and being on Kodikonda Road means we see a lot of different faces every day. My wife helps me out in the evenings when the crowd gets a bit bigger. We don't have any fancy shopping carts or barcodes. We just write everything down in a notebook and use a simple scale for weighing the loose grains. It is the way things have been done here for a long time. We aren't trying to compete with the big supermarkets in the cities. We just want to be the place where the neighbors can come to get what they need without any fuss.
