We operate Raghavendra Minerals out on Ananthapuram Road. Our place is in Srinivas Nagar, and we are quite close to the railway station. You can hear the trains passing by pretty often from here throughout the day and night. Dealing with minerals means things get a bit messy and dusty. It’s just the nature of the work we do. We spend a lot of our time outdoors or in the large shed where we keep everything stored. The location is good because being near the station helps with moving things along, though the road can get pretty jammed up with trucks and traffic. We’ve been in Srinivas Nagar for quite a few years now. The office is just a small room where we keep the books and take phone calls from people. We aren’t really into the whole corporate style or wearing suits. Most of us are usually wearing work clothes that have seen better days because of the dust. It’s a physical job, and we don’t pretend it’s anything otherwise. People who need minerals usually know where to find us on Ananthapuram Road without much trouble. We don’t do much in terms of marketing or big advertisements. We just let the daily work speak for itself. Sometimes we have to deal with the intense heat or the heavy rain, which can slow things down, but we just keep at it. It’s a basic operation, but it keeps us busy and we’ve got a good rhythm going.
